Similar to Kombucha, Water kefir and Milk kefir are fermented probiotic beverages that are delicious and super beneficial for your gut (taste buds too!). Unlike kombucha, kefir ferments much faster and is easier to consume on a daily basis for home brewing.
Under the direction of Dustin and Rachel of Loaf and Honey, we will explore milk Kefir grains and some of its wonderful uses. We will talk about its benefits and how to use it in your daily life. We will show you the step-by step process to make your own at home and how to flavour them. We will also learn how to make kefir cream cheese. While we will be teaching the Milk kefir fermentation using dairy milk, non-dairy mylks work as well.
We will talk about keeping your kefir grains growing, how to store and travel with them. Go home with your very own supply to get you started. You will take home a starter (milk kefir grains), recipe sheets, plus a bottle of freshly started kefir.
