Baking from the Heart Series – The Art of Macaroons from Around the World

Parisian Macarons, Italian Amaretti and Coconut Macaroons are all related; their origins can be traced back to the 1300’s and Marzipan.  All delicious and slightly different from one another, but all 100% gluten free.  Made up of ground almonds, sugar and egg whites, these bite-sized treats have become very popular.  This class will teach you how to prepare the mixture, flavour, pipe, bake and layer up these sweet treats.  me with a selection of these tasty cousins.  We will provide the ingredients, equipment, aprons and packaging.  Each student will go home with a sampling of the items made.

Time:  10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Cost:  $85 + GST = $89.25 per person
